Full Job Description

We are a Primary Care Medical Practice in Manhattan seeking a responsible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to support the doctor’s work and actively facilitate patients’ care. You will apply medical techniques and principles under the direction of a physician and you will deal with a diverse set of patients. It is a part-time position, 2-3 days a week. Knowledge of Spanish/Basic Spanish Communication Skills is required. Candidate must have a positive and pleasant attitude and good bedside manner, be compassionate, organized, punctual, responsible and dependable with good clinical knowledge base, time efficient and be responsible for note completion same day. Must have a professional presentation that is representative of our practice and be a team player that thrives in a medical service environment.

Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Job Responsibilities:

• Perform HPI’s and physical exams
• Prepare patients for examinations and conduct routine procedures (EKGs, administer injections etc)
• Document and update patient records
• Refer patients to specialists as needed
• Review results and Reinforce health teaching to patients
• Handle prescription refills and medications
• Comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards
• Office offers great support staff
• Always support from MD available when needed!

Qualifications:A candidate’s qualifications will include:

• Preferred 2+ years experience as a physician assistant/ nurse practitioner
• Knowledge of medical guidelines and procedures regarding examination, therapy and recovery
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Valid PA/NP NY state license
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Spanish/Basic Spanish Communication Skills is required

Job Types: Part-time, Per diem, Permanent

Pay: $65.00 – $75.00 per hour
