Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled critical care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality medical care to patients of all ages in a fast-pace inpatient setting. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
- Perform medical procedures such as IV insertion, tube feeding, and esthetic laser treatment as needed.
- Manage acute illnesses and injuries in patients, including toddlers and adults.
- Document patient interactions accurately in medical records using ICD-10 coding.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a clean and organized medical office environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and preventive care.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and provide immediate care as required.
Requirements
- Completion of Master’s or Doctorate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program from an accredited institution with a valid license to practice in the state.
- Experience in inpatient critical care setting is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in performing medical procedures such as IV insertion and tube feeding.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation of diagnoses.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including toddlers.
- Ability to lift patients as necessary while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is advantageous.
