Job DescriptionPosition: Physician Assistant or Nurse PractitionerLocation: Focus Urgent Care

Position Overview:Focus Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide exceptional patient care at our community-based urgent care center. Under the supervision of a licensed physician, you will deliver a broad range of urgent care services while ensuring high-quality care and a patient-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight of patient care, including examination, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as necessary.
• Ensure proper injury care, diagnosis, treatment, and management of minor illnesses.
• Evaluate and manage trauma cases, including performing laceration repairs when required.
• Deliver care for occupational medicine patients, including evaluations and treatments.
• Practice evidence-based medicine and adhere to clinical care standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely chart documentation using electronic medical records (EMR).
• Prescribe medications within scope and authority.
• DOT certification is highly desirable but not required.

Qualifications:

• Certified Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with current licensure in New York State.
• Occupational medicine skills are a plus.
• Excellent bedside manner and strong clinical judgment.

Preferred Experience:

• At least 1 year of experience in urgent care or emergency room (ER) settings.

Required Licenses or Certifications:

• Licensed to practice as a PA or NP in New York State.
• DEA registration

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Per diem

Pay: $60.00 – $85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
