Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of skin conditions, providing comprehensive care to patients, and ensuring the highest standards of medical practice. This role requires a strong foundation in dermatological procedures and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing
- Diagnose and manage common dermatologic conditions, such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin infections
- Perform in-office procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions
- Educate patients on skincare, treatment plans, and post-procedure care
- Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with the lead dermatologist and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Participate in clinical meetings, training sessions, and practice development initiatives
- Stay current on dermatologic advancements, treatments, and best practices
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Physician Assistant (PA) license in California
- Board certification by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)
- 1-3 years of clinical experience (dermatology experience preferred but not required)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- High level of professionalism and commitment to patient care
- Familiarity with dermatologic procedures and cosmetic treatments is a plus
