Pay varies based on full time/ part time and experience. Our providers work both remotely and in office. At least one in office day a week.

The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing expert medical care to patients with a range of potential illnesses, injuries, or disabilities under the guidance of a Medical Doctor. Duties include conducting examinations on patients, preparing the appropriate treatment plan, and prescribing patients’ medications.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Review patient’s complete medical history; perform examinations
  • Order and read radiology and laboratory tests and refer patients to specialists when necessary
  • Work with supervising physician to analyze reports, examinations and test results to accurately diagnose patients, as well as present treatment options
  • Work with supervising physician to discuss and explain treatments and medication thoroughly with patients, advising them of all the side effects and making sure that all allergy information is current before prescribing any medication or treatment
  • Advise patients on lifestyle and diet changes that could help improve their health or treat the health problem they have
  • Care for the patient, including mental and emotional concerns
  • Build a long-term relationship with patients
  • Follow all departmental policies and procedures
  • Keep up-to-date with medical procedures, developments, treatments and available medication
  • Comply with federal and state privacy laws, always respecting a patient’s confidentiality
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications for This Role Include:

  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies.
  • Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
  • Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner by the State of Colorado
  • Active, unrestricted DEA license
  • BLS
  • Two years of experience working as a PA
  • Proficient in an EMR system
  • Excellent communication skills; Active listener
  • Critical Thinker
  • Complex Problem Solver
  • Trustworthy
  • Positive background check, negative drug screen, and hospital credentials required

Physical Demands:

  • The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by a Physician Assistant to successfully perform the essential competencies, duties, and requirements of this position. These include standing, walking, driving, lifting up to 50 pounds and sitting for extended periods of time. In addition, pushing, pulling, stooping, squatting and shifting heavy objects, as well as air travel, may be required. Employees should ask for assistance if needed.
