Full Job Description
McLean Neuropsychiatric Treatment Center is a mental health clinic specializing in the treatment of depression using transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), esketamine (Spravato), and ketamine.
TMS is a noninvasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain to treat depression. Esketamine is a novel medication for treatment-resistant depression (TRD) that comes as a nasal spray that must be administered in the clinic under strict protocols. Ketamine is an anesthetic medication that can be administered at low doses to treat severe depression at low doses.
The clinic is looking to hire one physician assistant or a nurse practitioner to provide as-needed coverage for when our regular staff is out. The job consists of assistance and supervision for administration of esketamine, ketamine, and TMS. Relevant training will be provided on site. DEA license is required.
Most immediately, we will need someone on Thursday, Jan 9, from 3-8 PM; Monday, Jan 13, from 4-8 PM; and Tuesday, Jan 14, from 4-8 PM. In the coming months, more needs will arise. Eventually, perhaps by the spring or summer, we will offer hours over the weekend and will be looking to hire more NP/PAs, so this position will be a good way to get one’s foot in the door in this clinic.
