Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

1. Active MA Nurse Practitioner License (in good standing)2. Current National Board Certification3. Educate patients on maintaining proper health4. Health maintenance care, including well-child exams and childhood immunizations.5. Routine developmental screenings6. Diagnosis and treatment of common childhood illnesses7. Teaching and counseling of children and their families on issues related to health8. Conducting advanced physical assessments9. Interpreting lab and diagnostic test results10. Ability to work without direct supervision and practice autonomously11. Conduct procedures utilizing aseptic technique, application of minor dressings, removing sutures, and applying splints as directed by the provider.12. Capacity to collaborate with professional colleagues as necessary to provide quality care.13. Participate in an interdisciplinary team providing and coordination of our patients ensuring the highest level of care.14. Keeps working environment clean, safe, and organized for patients and staff. Reports any malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate person.15. Attends all necessary meetings to be updated on policies and procedures.16. Documents all information in the medical record in a legible style, dated and signed with credentials.17. Follows OSHA and safety requirements for rooms and documentation.18. Attends required meetings and participates on committees as requested.19. Maintains a professional and positive attitude with interacting with patients and other staff members.

QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONSEducation: Master’s Degree or equivalent. Current national Board Certification and current CPR card.

Experience: 2 year work experience in a medical setting with pediatric experience preferred

Knowledge: Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and written.

Skills & Ability: Computer knowledge.

Ability to adapt and apply guidelines and procedures

Ability to set priorities, identify and resolve problems effectively and efficiently.Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.Knowledge in second language is a plus

Attitude: Exhibits a cooperative and courteous telephone manner. Maintains a friendly, cooperative, and courteous attitude despite competing demands.

Client Satisfaction : Assist patients, family members or other clients with concern and empathy; respecting their confidentiality and privacy. Communicates with them in a courteous and respectful manner. Always tries to anticipate their needs.

Answers and refers telephone calls or other inquires to ensure accurate and timely communications are facilitated; identifies him/herself in a pleasant and positive manner and takes responsibility for helping the caller.

Complexity: Able to multi-task and communicate effectively with a wide range of people under stressful conditions, both in person and on the telephone. Able to set priorities, identify and resolve problems effectively and efficiently.

Supervision: Scope of practice guidelines regulated by the Ma Board of NursePractitioner

Other Contact:` Constant contact with patients, general public and staff. Contact requires the ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal, and a cooperative and courteous attitude despite simultaneous tasks.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff as well as the public.

Errors: Errors could result in service delays and patient dissatisfaction, so must work accurately.

Confidentiality: May be exposed to confidential information whose disclosure would be contrary to the best interest of Pediatric Associates of Fall River and professional ethics.

Sensory Demands: Ability to maintain a cooperative and courteous attitude despite simultaneous demands. Requires manual coordination to operate medical equipment and instruments

Physical Demands: Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions: Exposure to bodily fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to office environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $115,456.00 – $130,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
