Job Summary:
The fulltime Proceduralist Advance Practice Provider will provide care to patients within both the Inpatient and Outpatient areas at SUNY Upstate Downtown and Community Campuses.
In this role you will assess and perform various procedures including, but not limited to:
- Paracentesis, thoracenteses, lumbar punctures, punch biopsies, arthrocentesis, and central lines.
- Providing expert level clinical care & coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care assessing & evaluating patients.
- Ordering appropriate laboratory testing & diagnostic studies, arranging for referrals, testing.
- Consultation & therapeutic services.
- Maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians & all members of the health care team.
Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant & current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required. Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.
CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years of procedural experience.
Work Days:
Monday – Friday, Days with Rotating Weekends and Holiday Schedules
