PeopleOne Health is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider for our Sand Lake Commons/Orlando office. The ideal candidate is experienced in family medicine, including pediatrics, and passionate about providing the highest level of care in a primary care setting. The Advanced Practice Provider is supported by a multi-disciplinary team and will encourage patients to use those resources to help them make better choices related to their health. The Role
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) responsibilities include providing patient care in a primary care office. We strive to achieve and are embedded in our day-to-day functions. As an Advanced Practice Provider with our team, you will have the responsibility, authority, and accountability for providing care through supervision by and collaboration with a physician. Managing and delivering patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration. The role encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration, and supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Examines the patient, records medical history, records results, and makes preliminary diagnosis or decides on follow-up procedures.
- Administers and orders diagnostic tests such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and blood work and interprets test results.
- Performs therapeutic functions such as immunizations, injections, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
- Exercises professional judgment regarding consultation with supervising physicians concerning appropriate treatment.
- Develops and implements patient care plans, instructs and counsels patients, and records progress.
- Prescribes medications to the extent allowable by state guidelines and clinic regulations.
- Provides general health education regarding proper diet, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
- Set the standards for the level and quality of care for the care delivery team
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients, and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
Requirements:
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Degree required
- Unrestricted Florida Medical License
