Job Summary:

Position Title: Associate Director of Vascular
Job Summary:The Women’s Health Physician Assistant (PA) in an outpatient setting provides primary and specialized care for women of all ages, focusing on preventive care, reproductive health, and general wellness. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating various medical conditions, educating patients on health maintenance, and supporting women’s physical, emotional, and reproductive health.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment & Diagnosis:
    • Perform comprehensive health assessments including medical histories, physical exams, and preventive screenings.
    • Diagnose a wide range of common women’s health conditions such as urinary tract infections (UTIs), pelvic pain, menstrual issues, and menopause-related concerns.
    • Order and interpret lab tests, diagnostic imaging, and other relevant medical tests.
  • Treatment & Management:
    • Provide treatment for conditions such as hormonal imbalances, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), reproductive health issues, and general women’s health concerns.
    • Prescribe medications, contraceptives, and other therapeutic treatments.
    • Offer non-surgical procedures such as IUD insertions, biopsies, and colposcopies.
  • Health Promotion & Education:
    • Educate patients on topics including reproductive health, contraception options, family planning, prenatal care, and menopause management.
    • Provide counseling and support on mental health issues, lifestyle changes, and weight management.
    • Promote preventive care such as annual screenings (Pap smears, mammograms), vaccinations, and wellness visits.
  • Collaboration with Medical Team:
    • Collaborate with obstetricians, gynecologists, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care.
    • Refer patients for specialist consultations or additional care when needed.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care plans.
  • Documentation & Follow-up:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
    • Follow up on lab results and test outcomes, communicating any necessary information to patients.
    • Ensure continuity of care by scheduling follow-up appointments and referrals.

Qualifications:

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Education: Master’s degree from an accredited physician assistant program.
  • Licensure: Valid Physician Assistant license in the state of New York
  • Certifications: National Certification through the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants).
  • Experience: Previous experience in women’s health, OB/GYN, or outpatient care preferred.
  • Skills: Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:
  • Outpatient clinics, women’s health centers, or private practices.
  • Standard work hours with some flexibility for evening or weekend shifts, depending on the clinic’s needs.
