Job Title: Endocrinology Physician Assistant – Outpatient

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic endocrinology team. In this outpatient role, you will work closely with our board-certified endocrinologists to provide exceptional care to patients with a wide range of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid conditions, and metabolic disorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in endocrinology and a passion for patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed medical history, physical exams, and laboratory reviews.
- Diagnose and manage a wide variety of endocrine disorders such as diabetes mellitus, thyroid diseases, osteoporosis, adrenal dysfunction, and other metabolic disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide patient education regarding their condition, medication management, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care.
- Order, interpret, and follow up on lab results and imaging studies related to endocrine disorders.
- Clinical Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients seen.
- Document patient encounters clearly and concisely, ensuring all diagnoses, treatments, and plans are appropriately recorded in the electronic health record (EHR).
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in [State].
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an endocrinology setting is preferred, though new graduates with a strong interest in endocrinology are also encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting is a plus.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong clinical knowledge and experience in diagnosing and managing endocrine disorders.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and medical software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of care.
