Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical care to patients, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating various health conditions. This position requires a compassionate approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. In addition, the PA will have the opportunity to learn about medical aesthetics as the following procedures are performed on site – Botox, Fillers, Hydrafacial, Chemical Peels, Laser Hair Removal, Laser for Pigmented Lesions, Vascular Lesions, Laser Facials, and Microneedling.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to assist in developing treatment plans.
- Administer treatments, including Botulinum toxin treatment as necessary.
- Provide triage services to prioritize patient care based on urgency and severity of conditions
- Medical Assistants draw blood, perform procedures such as EKG, Spirometry. Physicians Assistant would oversee Medical Assistants, attends to patients in exam rooms, formulate a treatment plan, and complete notes for the encounters.
- Electronic Medical Records – Athena
- Ensure compliance with established medical standards and protocols.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in patient care.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field from an accredited program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Strong clinical skills with experience in triage, home care, DME, and medical aesthetics preferred. Willing to train.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems; experience with Athena is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
