Job Title: Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dynamic and collaborative team in Kentucky.
Position Overview:As an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), you will provide acute care services in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and technology to treat patients of all ages with a variety of medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including history and physical exams, in the Emergency Department.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries, from minor conditions to critical emergencies.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and lab work.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and performing minor procedures.
- Collaborate with emergency physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care.
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions to patients and families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with organizational standards.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA) from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Kentucky.
- National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) is required.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care is strongly preferred.
- Advanced skills in managing acute and emergent conditions in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork and patient-centered care.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $96.10 – $114.14 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
