Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including critical care environments. This role requires a strong understanding of medical protocols, patient assessment, and treatment planning. The Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed medical histories from patients.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient assessments.
  • Administer medications and manage intravenous therapy as needed.
  • Perform procedures such as spinal taps and esthetic laser treatments.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions.
  • Provide addiction counseling and support for patients with substance use disorders.
  • Utilize Epic systems for accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about health management, treatment options, and preventive care.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and state licensure to practice medicine.
  • Strong skills in patient care, critical care, medication administration, and infection control practices.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality and data security.
  • Experience or training in esthetic laser treatment is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of addiction counseling techniques is desirable.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly Epic, is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Pay: $50.00 – $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
