Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including critical care environments. This role requires a strong understanding of medical protocols, patient assessment, and treatment planning. The Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed medical histories from patients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Administer medications and manage intravenous therapy as needed.
- Perform procedures such as spinal taps and esthetic laser treatments.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions.
- Provide addiction counseling and support for patients with substance use disorders.
- Utilize Epic systems for accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about health management, treatment options, and preventive care.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and state licensure to practice medicine.
- Strong skills in patient care, critical care, medication administration, and infection control practices.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality and data security.
- Experience or training in esthetic laser treatment is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of addiction counseling techniques is desirable.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly Epic, is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
