Responsibilities

- Manage acute pain and provide urgent care services as necessary.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.
- Provide memory care and support for geriatric patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Utilize ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation of diagnoses and procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in hospice palliative medicine to enhance end-of-life care.
- Stay informed about best practices in psychopharmacology to effectively manage mental health conditions.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of urgent care protocols and acute pain management techniques.
- Experience in memory care and geriatrics, with a focus on holistic patient-centered approaches.
- Proficiency in medication administration and understanding of pharmacological principles.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, particularly in hospice palliative settings.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients about their health conditions.
- Strong critical thinking skills to assess complex patient situations effectively.
