JOB OVERVIEW:
The Physician Assistant (PA) will assist Dr. Rosenberg exclusively in surgical procedures on an as-needed basis. This position requires availability on Mondays, approximately 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with potential for shorter hours. The PA will not have responsibilities beyond surgical assistance and will focus solely on supporting surgical operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Provide skilled assistance to Dr. Rosenberg during surgical procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all surgical protocols, maintaining a sterile and safe environment.
- Prepare and position patients for surgery as directed.
- Support the surgical team with equipment, instruments, and supplies as needed.
- Adhere strictly to infection control policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS/LICENSE:
- Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Florida.
- NCCPA certification required.
- Credentialing with NFR preferred; those not credentialed must complete the process immediately upon hire.
EDUCATION:
Physician Assistant: Must be a graduate of CAAHEP (Council on the Accreditations of Allied Health Education Programs) approved university program. NCCPA certification required. Must be licensed/certified or eligible to practice as PA in the State of Florida.
Nurse Practitioner: Master’s degree in Nursing required. (If licensed prior to 1998, Master’s degree not required by the State of Florida.) Must have current Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) license or eligible to obtain Florida license. Certification by the ANCC or AANP in a specialty area required.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum one year PA or APRN experience preferred but not required

- Proven experience in surgical assistance preferred.
- Ability to remain composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to surgical protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Dedication to patient care

- The position walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves continually during working hours.
- Frequently lift and/or move over 50 pounds.
- Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding).
- Travel may be required to existing or new TOI locations.
