Local Team Collaboration:

• Join our close-knit team of 6 physicians and four advanced practice providers at St. Rose Dominican Hospital.
• Work alongside strong nursing leadership aligned with our clinical goals and collaborate on projects such as improving over-sedation practices. We welcome new team members to participate in various committees and quality initiatives throughout the hospital.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified/eligible physician assistants.
• Physician assistants are expected to see 9-10 patients per shift and must be comfortable performing arterial lines, central lines, and intubations.

Practice in the Heart of the Community

Flexible Scheduling:

• We offer a 7-on/off schedule, with primarily day shifts and some night shifts. Each shift is staffed by one intensivist and one advanced practice provider (APP). Shifts are organized as follows: 5a-5p, 7a-7p, and 7p-5a, balancing work and personal time.

Key Responsibilities:

• As part of our team, you will care for various ICU patients, including those in our 30-bed med/surg ICU and 20-bed CVICU. You’ll be actively involved in starting our new ECMO program and collaborate closely with intensivists, APPs, and nursing staff to provide excellent patient care.
• You will work with Cerner and have access to our internal informatics platform, allowing efficient communication and order management, including text or call-in orders directly to the nurse.
