Contributes to the fulfillment of the St. Vincent Health System mission and vision and the strategic initiatives of St. Vincent Health System by providing medical care to patients under the direction of a supervising physician. Provides a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s medical, physical and psychological status, develops medical care plans, implements and manages a treatment plan, periodically assesses patient’s medical needs, and provides patient education and counseling
Responsibilities
Provide healthcare to all age groups in accordance with the State of Arkansas Department of Licensing and professional scope of practice. In addition, the practitioner provides diagnostic and therapeutic medical services, while making reasonable and sound medical assessments and treatment plans.
- Functions within the scope of practice as defined within state regulations. The APN/PA scope of practice will be defined by the collaborative agreement as completed with the collaborating physician.
- Adheres to patient confidentiality, infection prevention, safety and security measures, and all other hospital policies and procedures.

- Works effectively and collaboratively in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a hospital-based nurse practitioner or physician assistant is desirable but not required.
- Current Nurse Practitioner Licensure in Arkansas (Acute Care certified)
- Collaborative Agreement with supervising physician.
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate and ability to maintain said certificate.
- ACLS or ACLS instructor certification is required upon hire
Pay Range $45.39 – $61.73 /hour
