The practice: Destiny Internal Medicine is a physician owned practice, dedicated to meeting the healthcare needs of the community served. In addition to provision of outpatient clinic services, we have have dedicated providers that round in hospital and nursing homes.
Position: We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Internal Medicine team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Closely work with the the rest of the team to provide holistic care to clients.
- Closely follow up on the progress of clients seen by internal medicine team to ensure continuity of care, including timely review of tests and diagnostic results.
- Provide all medical services within reasonable and expected medical standards, while conforming with all requirements by health licensing board.
- Applies medical knowledge and skills to the process of diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of illnesses.
- Maintain timely, complete, accurate and legible medical records for all patients evaluated and treated by the Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner.
- Performs timely and accurate clinical/billing documentation meeting professional standards in compliance with State and Federal regulations, clinical necessity, and appropriate coding standards.
- Performs pharmacologic treatment strategies, orders medications, and makes necessarily follow up to monitor patient response to medications.
- Order, obtain and assess appropriate laboratory tests and diagnostics and closely follows up and communicates the results to clients in a timely manner.
- This position works as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide clinical services and coordinate care to our clients.
- Assures timely access to care, demonstrates flexibility in scheduling to fully meet client needs, and meets applicable productivity standards
- Develops and maintains a good working relationship with the healthcare team.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of all medical records.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A valid PA license from the Colorado Medical Board
- Current PA Certification with the appropriate certifying authority.
- Valid Prescriptive Authority in the State of Colorado
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification
- Minimum one years of practice as PA.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $110,000.00 – $135,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
