We are currently looking for a Physician Assistant to join our busy Gastroenterology office on 59th Avenue and Eugie.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction and supervision of the ADH medical staff, the Physician Assistant will work in collaboration with a physician to provide a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s health status. The candidate must be a graduate from an accredited program, pass the National Certifying Examination and obtain state licensure. Gastroenterology and Hepatology or Primary Care experience preferred. However any motivated to learn candidate will be considered. Position will come with direct training from provider and continuous support to ensure that you are successful in your position with us. We are looking for a team player that is wanting longevity with our company.

*An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed below, may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Physician Assistant will work closely with other medical office personnel to:

· Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic complaints related to gastroenterology & hepatology.

· Obtain complete histories and perform pertinent physical exams with assessment.

· Provide patients with appropriate information and instructions concerning patient’s illness or injury, medications, treatment and follow up plans.

· Provide care in office setting only.

· Support the overall goals of the company.

· Perform other job related duties as requested or required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

· Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with clinicians, patients, administrators, and auxiliary personnel.

· Graduate from an accredited program.

· ACLS / BLS certification.

· Strong clinical background and experience.

· Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients and business associates

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

· Strong time management and organizational skills

· Flexibility to meet changing needs of the current healthcare environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
