Job Overview:
We are seeking a California-licensed Physician Assistant to join our telehealth team, providing patient assessments, treatment referrals, and disability claims management. This remote position is ideal for a PA with experience in telehealth, patient advocacy, and familiarity with the State Disability Insurance (SDI) system. In this role, you will coordinate patient care plans, ensure appropriate treatment pathways, and assist in completing disability claims for qualified patients.
Responsibilities:
Conduct virtual patient assessments to determine treatment needs and direct them to the appropriate care facilities or specialists.
Manage the process of completing SDI claims for patients requiring temporary disability benefits, including documentation and follow-up.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to streamline the referral process.
Educate patients on disability claim procedures and ensure their understanding of treatment plans.
Utilize your SDI Licensed Health Professional Online Account to submit and track patient disability claims efficiently.
Qualifications:
Active Physician Assistant license in California.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in patient assessment, treatment coordination, or a similar role.
Familiarity with the California State Disability Insurance (SDI) process and an active SDI Licensed Health Professional Online Account.
Strong communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
Experience with telehealth platforms and electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.
