Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Spine Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse with RNFA for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey
Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey’s largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse with RNFA to join the Department of Orthopedics at Morristown Medical Center. We are looking for a dedicated and reliable PA/APN to provide inpatient coverage during evenings and weekends for our orthopedic spine team. We are looking for a candidate who is available to work on a rotating schedule covering four 10 hour shifts per week and at least 2 weekend shifts per month.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of orthopedic and/or spine experience, with previous experience in the OR as a first assist. Ideal candidate can work collaboratively with the team and demonstrates strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The primary role of the PA/APN is to assist in rounds and perform consultations, first assist in spine cases, order and interpret diagnostic tests, evaluate post operative patients, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient care. The role will also involve cross-coverage with the orthopedic joint/trauma APPs as well as working with the orthopedic residents. The team is committed to ensuring work-life balance for all staff and will work collaboratively to accommodate scheduling needs whenever possible.

Qualifications :
- Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
- Must be certified by the National Board of Certification of Orthopaedic Physician’s Assistants
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- 5 years of Ortho experience required
- Must have excellent communication and computer skills
- Must be enthusiastic and willing to learn
- Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently Preferred: 1. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
