Headlands is seeking an EXPERIENCED Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work with our substance treatment and mental health program contracts in the Orange County (Dana Point, San Juan Cap)

We are currently hiring for a FULL TIME WEEKDAY position involving the following:

  • ON-SITE AT TREATMENT PROGRAM LOCATIONS
  • FULL TIME, with Health Benefits and 401k
  • 3 weeks (120h) of PTO annually
  • M-F (4 or 5 day work schedule possible)
  • 30 or 40 hours schedule possible
  • On-site, rotating schedule at treatment program locations
  • No call requirement
  • Opportunities to pick up additional shifts (optional) for extra $$
  • Admissions and follow-up assessments at addiction treatment and mental health centers
  • Ongoing supervision/education and support provided by addiction specialist MDs and psychiatrists.
  • Productivity incentive plan with opportunities to earn additional income

This is a position for an experienced mid-level provider who is comfortable managing mental health conditions and low complexity primary care issues. The position is a good fit for someone who likes variety and does not mind driving to multiple locations throughout OC (2-3 locations per day).

Related to the healthcare area we serve, excellent interpersonal skills, customer service, and flexibility are necessary attributes for success in this position.

Successful Candidate MUST have the following:

  • 3+ years of post-training experience as an NP and PA with significant behavioral health experience
  • EXCELLENT INTERPERSONAL SKILLS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
  • Demonstrated longevity in previous professional positions
  • Current NP or PA license in the state of California
  • Current and active DEA license in the state of California
  • Efficient in multi-tasking and managing workflow. Experienced and able to work autonomously.
  • Proficiency with EMR software and electronic communication.
  • Ability and willingness to commute to two sites daily

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Experience in addiction treatment including withdrawal management
  • Experience with medication assisted treatment protocols including buprenorphine and naltrexone.
  • PMHNP or PA/NP with significant experience in treating psychiatric conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year
