Title: Experienced Critical Care Nurse Practitioner, Nights Join our experienced ICU group as we invite a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our hospital based team just 30 minutes outside of Boston! Employed by a physician owned service, you will be supported by onsite ICU nursing staff, hospitalist, and the ER in this night shift position. Due to the autonomous nature of this role, intubation and central line experience is a must. Compensation: Salaried up to $175,000 (Equivalent to $220,000 in Boston) $5,000 retention bonus after 1 year $100/hr for extra shifts Full medical benefits, CME, and malpractice Schedule: 12-hour shifts Midnights: 7pm – 7 am 14 shifts per month Self-schedule Location: 10 bed ICU of 250 Bed hospital 8-10 patient average census Suburban Massachusetts Less than 30 minutes from Boston General Duties Include: History, diagnostic tests, comprehensive physical examinations, and assessments Continuous patient management if needed for patients with complex health care needs Writes orders, including diagnostic tests and medication orders to accomplish acute and long term plan of care Routine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Performs treatments and administers pharmacological therapies, IV fluids, and blood products Manages oxygen and ventilator therapy based on interpretation of clinical, x-ray, and blood gas data in conjunction with the pulmonologists and anesthesiologist Attends cardiopulmonary arrest situations, and responds to the needs of compromised patients providing resuscitations as needed Requirements Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant A minimum of 1 year of related ICU experience as an NP or PA is required Previous experience with intubation and central lines is required#IND1
