Base Salary Range Up to 150,000.00 Commensurate with experience not including bonus structure. MUST HAVE SPINE EXPERIENCE

Orthopedic Specialists of SW Florida’s state-of-the-art, 60,000 square-foot facility incorporates the latest in leading-edge technology in order to provide optimal care for patients who have bone, joint, muscle and spine problems. Our office includes five Centers of Excellence and a full Physical Therapy and Occupational/Hand Therapy division, which work in close coordination with our physicians to provide non-operative, preoperative, post-operative and preventive care.
Job Summary: Provide surgical and non-surgical treatment of patients with spine related conditions.
Essential Functions:
- Candidate will work closely with attending spine surgeon in clinic setting evaluating surgical and non-surgical patients.
- 1st assistant in surgery – Performs first assist duties, including ensuring all needed equipment and supplies are present.
- Post-op – Writes orders in the recovery room, talks with family, visits patients, performs post-op procedures and more
- Discharge planning– Dictates discharge summaries, writes prescriptions, explains discharge instructions, confirms follow-up appointments and more
- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the patient’s care plan

- Responsible for promoting the Standards of Excellence for Orthopedic Specialists while demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior toward patients, visitors, volunteers, peers and physicians
- Maintain a neat and orderly work environment, demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize work during heavy workload situations to expedite patient care
- Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments
Minimum Requirements (education, experience, special skills and licenses or certifications required):
- Florida licensed as Physician Assistant or ARNP
- Five years of professional clinical experience and significant spine PA experience required
- Strong organizational skills
