Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Position
Position Type: Full-time
Location: Multiple locations throughout San Antonio and surrounding counties
Working alongside facility teams, our advanced practice providers manage psychiatric medications. Our NPs and PAs are skilled in assessment, prescription management, and medication adjustments, ensuring each resident receives attentive psychiatric care through a collaborative approach.
Role Overview: We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide psychiatric medical care in multiple assisted living and nursing home facilities. The provider will be responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care in accordance with AMA Code of Medical Ethics standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and mental health services
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage medications
- Conduct regular patient visits based on clinical needs
- Document care according to AMA guidelines
- Coordinate patient care across healthcare teams
- Travel to scheduled facilities within service area
Required Qualifications:
- Current licensure as either: Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) OR Physician Assistant (PA-C) with valid state license
- Active DEA number
- Strong understanding of psychiatric care principles
- Ability to travel within San Antonio and surrounding counties
- Up to 3 facilities in a day
- Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Prior experience in psychiatric care settings
