Full Job Description

The Functional Medicine Center in Durham, NC is searching for a nurse practitioner or physician assistant who has experience working in Functional Medicine, is compassionate and energetic, and loves to work on a team.

We opened our doors in 2017 with the intention of creating a calm and loving environment for all patients, very different from standard medical clinics. We also sought to create a joyful, peaceful clinic for our staff and providers — to help heal our staff from the burnout they experienced in traditional medical clinics. We are thrilled at how far we have come and how successful our clinic has been and we are ready for the next step. In the past year, we have added 2-3 new patients per week, and our numbers now justify another full time provider.

We are looking for a provider who is experienced, trained, energetic and calm. The goal is for this confident and compassionate provider to run this clinic with me, Kate Godly. The expectation is that they will participate fully in administrative meetings and decisions. Ideally, they will come prepared and willing to work tirelessly to care for these patients. They will care about doing the right thing for the patient, and be able to communicate clearly with both the clinic staff and with the patients.

The ideal candidate wants to work three full clinic days plus one half admin day and make six figures.

Preferred Training: Priority Health Academy, University of Western States MS in HN&FM, or IFM trained.

NP or PA preferred, but MD and DO will qualify. Must have prescription writing privileges in the state of NC.

Hours: 12-24 patients per week in 3 clinic days, plus at least 4 hours of admin time on another day of the week. (About 34 hours of work on a busy week.)

Competitive benefits available including 401K, PTO and medical insurance, after the provider has been able to build their patient load up to 120 patients.

Please send resumes or CVs to me, Kate Godly – [email protected] and copy Brandy Webb – [email protected] with a short note about when you are available for an interview.

Thank you!
