Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dermatology Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide essential support to dermatologists and ensure a smooth patient experience. You will be responsible for assisting in various clinical procedures, managing patient data, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the dermatology practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dermatological practices and excellent interpersonal skills.
Duties
- Assist dermatologists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and physical examinations as directed by the physician.
- Administer medications and perform necessary medical-surgical tasks under supervision.
- Maintain accurate patient records through effective data management practices.
- Implement aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection.
- Participate in discharge planning by providing patients with post-procedure care instructions.
- Engage in health coaching to educate patients about skin care and treatment options.
- Provide support for addiction counseling when necessary, particularly in relation to skin conditions affected by substance use.
- Offer assistance in senior care, addressing the unique dermatological needs of elderly patients.
Skills
- Proficiency in health coaching techniques to guide patients on skin health.
- Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures relevant to dermatology.
- Strong skills in diagnostic evaluation and physical examinations.
- Excellent data management capabilities for maintaining patient records accurately.
- Experience with medication administration protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Ability to provide addiction counseling support related to dermatological issues.
- Understanding of senior care practices, particularly in addressing skin conditions common among older adults.

Pay: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
