Physician Assistant Per Diem

Elite Corporate Medical Services is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team on an as-needed basis, providing coverage at our Santa Maria and San Luis Obispo clinics. Our clinics operate Monday through Friday, with 8-hour shifts each day. If you are a dedicated Physician Assistant looking to make a difference in patients’ lives, we encourage you to apply.

Elite Providers are responsible to:

• Use medical training, skills and clinical judgment to provide timely, responsive care to treat a multi-cultural patient population.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions.
• Work independently, contacting offsite supervising physician as needed regarding patient care.
• Responsible for personalized treatment of patients, ensuring care is relevant for short and long term outcomes.
• Responsible for seeing all scheduled and walk-in patients each day (approximately 12 to 18 patients daily in San Luis Obispo and 4 to 10 in Santa Maria).
• Prescribe medications and treatments based on patient needs and in accordance with practice guidelines.
• Provide patient education on disease prevention, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records using eClinicalWorks.

• Must have an active California Physician Assistant License.
• Active NPI and DEA registration preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain BLS Certification within 10 days of hire.
• Must be or become proficient in utilizing medical equipment and technology relevant to the role (e.g., DME, EMR (eClinicalWorks), etc.).
• Must have a valid and current drivers’ license with the ability to meet Good Driver Standards and be covered by the company insurance policy.
