Responsibilities
Experienced APP needed for busy practice involving orthopedic care in Canandaigua. The position is a wonderful blend of ED consults, OR work and clinic-based follow-up. The APP will be part of the orthopedic group working in Canandaigua, closely aligned to the surgeons. There is significant independent work, therefore the APP must have orthopedic experience. Specifically, the APP will work in FFT hospital covering orthopedic consults in the ED, OR work, and outpatient clinic time at our new Canandaigua office. The APP should be comfortable with fracture reduction and management, nail bed/lac repairs, and be comfortable working independently. The successful candidate will join other APPs in a professionally rewarding environment – clinically challenging with tremendous opportunities for advancing skills. Candidate must possess excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn new skills. Prior NP/PA experience required, withpreferred orthopedic experience.NP will need to have RNFA certificate. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training. Competitive salary and benefits.
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner
Requires a Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Practitioner influences the quality and delivery of care in various roles including consultant, researcher, mentor, and practitioner. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Physician Assistant
Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program, licensure in goodstanding, and certified as a Registered Physician Assistant. Demonstrated clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $47.12 – $65.97
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the jobs salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
