Job Summary A busy OBGYN practice located in Prince Georges County Maryland is in search of a Physican Assistant. The candidate must be team-oriented, friendly, and have excellent customer service skills. We are looking for a full scope full time PA with solid gyn experience and antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum experience. This includes patients with a wide variety of medical conditions (diabetes, hypertension, etc.) We are also looking for someone that possess the passion for providing comprehensive women’s healthcare as well as a strong team spirit. Responsibilities
- Examining and monitoring pregnant women
- Assessing care requirements and writing care plans for patients.
- Providing information, emotional support, and reassurance to patients as needed
- Identifying high-risk pregnancies
- Ensuring all patient records are up to date
- Helping parents cope with miscarriage, termination, stillbirth, and neonatal death.
- Insure proper follow up care for abnormal laboratory test and/or other significant medical problems.
- Complete visits/encounters appropriately with CPT and ICD-10 coding.
Qualifications
- Active license as a Physicians Assistant
- Certification by the American Midwifery Board
- Active DEA Number
- Interested candidates should be NCCPA certified and prior women’s health experience
- Requirements of the Women’s Health Physician Assistant Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant NCCPA certified
- Active Physician Assistant license
- Experience as a Physician Assistant welcomed
- Prior Women’s Health Experience Required Hold DEA license
