RMA Northern California, part of the RMA Network of top fertility practices in the United States, is currently seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join and help us grow our Palo Alto practice!
The Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for delivering the highest level of patient care at a premier fertility center. The PA assesses, diagnoses and treats patients, administers and orders appropriate tests, interprets laboratory tests, provides education and appropriate management for women and men in need of reproductive related services. The PA collaborates with physicians and other clinicians in a team-based approach to patient care.
This position is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm being on call rotation approximately every 5 weeks to do half days on Saturday and Sunday in the San Francisco office for ultrasounds.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
- Obtains detailed medical histories, reviews medical records, and performs appropriate physical exams.
- Performs detailed infertility evaluations, including but not limited to: gynecologic exams, procedures, ultrasonography, and mock transfers; order appropriate tests, and interprets laboratory values.
- Performs “morning monitoring” which includes ultrasounds to monitor patient stimulation cycles, early pregnancy monitoring, and IUI (intrauterine insemination).
- Collaborates with physician in development and implementation of treatment plan appropriate to individual patient.
- Prescribes appropriate medications and provides appropriate referrals.
- Provides detailed and comprehensive patient counseling and education.
- Acts as liaison between collaborating physician and clinical staff to ensure high-level medical care and addresses issues for improvement.
Academic Training:
- Current state licensure as PA
- Studies level: License

- Graduation from an accredited PA program
- Studies level: Graduate of Accredited School

- NCCPA board certification – required

- BLS – required

Position Requirements/Experience:
- Previous experience in women’s health or reproductive endocrinology and infertility – preferred
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as assigned
- May require unanticipated need to work beyond scheduled shift due to patient care needs
