Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care to patients, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This position requires a strong understanding of various medical practices, including infectious disease care, pain management, and hospital medicine. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history and physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Provide care for patients in various settings, including the operating room (OR) and hospital wards.
  • Manage pain management protocols and assist in the administration of medications as needed.
  • Utilize neonatal ventilators for patients requiring respiratory support.
  • Participate in the care of patients with infectious diseases, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Perform procedures such as dialysis when necessary and monitor patient progress.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation, including medical coding practices.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management strategies and treatment options.

ExperienceCandidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) from an accredited program.
  • Experience in hospital medicine or relevant clinical settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of medical coding practices is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to handle diverse patient populations, including those requiring specialized care such as inhalation therapies.

Pay: $129,943.00 – $136,050.00 per year
