OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. This role involves performing various medical tasks, conducting diagnostic evaluations, and assisting in the management of patient treatment plans. The Physician Assistant will be instrumental in ensuring the well-being of patients through comprehensive assessments and interventions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and assist in developing treatment plans based on findings.
- Administer acute pain management techniques as needed.
- Carry out medical imaging procedures and interpret results in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Provide family planning services and education to patients.
- Execute catheterization procedures when required.
- Ensure accurate coding of diagnoses using ICD-10 standards for billing and record-keeping purposes.
- Maintain basic life support skills and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Document all patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care outcomes.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field from an accredited program.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and valid state licensure to practice.
- Proficiency in performing vital signs assessments, medical imaging, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Experience or training in acute pain management techniques is preferred.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding practices is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Commitment to maintaining basic life support certification and staying updated on best practices in patient care.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $53.34 – $59.40 per hour
