Job Title: Physician Assistant (Pediatric Clinic, Food Allergy)
Location: Vista, CA
Hours: Full Time; M-F 7:45AM-5PM (Onsite)
Salary: $120,000-$125,000 per year

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a dynamic, empathetic and flexible Physician Assistant that will enjoy working in a Pediatric clinic. They must be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
Essential Functions:
  • Act as primary health care provider in patient’s treatment plan with collaboration with Supervising Physician.
  • Manage outpatient setting patient caseload with assistance of clinical staff.
  • Observe, record and report patients’ vitals and reactions to all administered treatments.
  • Schedule and implement allergy testing in accordance with FAI procedures.
  • Assess patient needs and suggest solutions as appropriate.
  • Respond to patient reaction situations per FAI protocols and procedures; inform physician and/or other clinical staff as necessary to mitigate adverse reactions.
  • Perform highly complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge, its application to a variety of situations; and exercise independent judgment.
  • Participate in call rotation to address patient’s concerns via email or phone call.
  • Document food challenge notes accurately and effectively in EMR.
  • Understand the patient lifecycle in totality and how the clinic supports that mission.
  • Communicate effectively to patients, families, visitors, and leadership.
  • Management of all assigned care coordination in line with patient care.
  • Proper and complete challenge documentation in the patient’s chart.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited PA Program.
  • Current PAB Licensure.
  • Maintain current national certification from approved organizations.
  • Current BLS card.
  • Current PALS card.
  • National Provider Identification Number (NPI).
  • Applicable procedure training, MS Office Suite, EMR experience
  • Experience in Emergency and Pediatrics a plus
  • Team mentality and positive working attitude
This position may require occasional travel to other clinic locations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to walk between multiple office locations that include the use of stairs (elevator is only available in some instances).

This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
