Full Job Description
Responsibilities:- Provide primary care services to patients under the supervision of a physician- Conduct physical examinations and medical histories- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses- Order and interpret diagnostic tests- Prescribe medications and other treatments- Perform procedures such as family planning, dermal fillers, and phlebotomy- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care- Educate patients on disease prevention and health promotion- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program- Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant- Board certification or eligibility for certification as a Physician Assistant- Experience in areas such as ICU, pain management, senior care, or ventilator management is preferred- Proficiency in electronic health record systems such as Cerner or similar platforms- Strong clinical skills including data collection, assessment, and diagnosis- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues
