Full Job Description
Busy orthopedic spine practice looking for a full-time physician assistant to join four MDs and four PAs. As a physician assistant at Spine and Scoliosis Specialists you will play a critical role in helping patients find relief of pain through our cutting-edge treatments and therapies. You will be responsible for evaluating patients to determine the best course of treatment and creating treatment plans. Orthopedics, PM&R, or surgical experience a plus but not required. New grads welcome to apply. Duties are primarily office-based with potential for surgical assisting if candidate is interested. Minimal call. Responsibilities and skills:
- Independent clinics with physician support. We provide the support and training need to be successful in your role.
- Proficient or willing to learn office procedures, ie. joint injections, trigger point injections
- Proficient or willing to learn imaging interpretation, ie. x-rays, MRI, CT scan, EMG
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Responding in addressing patient calls and concerns with assistance of clinical staff
Qualifications:
- North Carolina license active or eligible.
- Graduate of accredited physician assistant program
- NCCPA certified.
- DEA license active or eligible
