Job Summary:

Horizon Health is looking for a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in Washington State. We are seeking a candidate with a background or strong interest in addiction or psychiatric care to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to address both the physical and mental health needs of patients, focusing on holistic and individualized treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessments, including comprehensive mental health and addiction evaluations.
  • Diagnose and manage common health conditions, with an emphasis on patients with addiction or psychiatric needs.
  • Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications, including psychiatric medications or Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), if applicable.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care.
  • Educate patients and families about mental health, addiction, and available treatment options.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on patient progress.
  • Ability to work with the underserved and unhoused community.

Qualifications:

  • Nurse Practitioner: Current licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in Washington State, including prescriptive authority and a DEA registration.
  • Physician Assistant: Active PA license in Washington State with current NCCPA certification and DEA registration.
  • Experience in addiction medicine or psychiatric care is preferred, but candidates with a strong interest in these areas are also encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders (e.g., buprenorphine, naltrexone) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in addiction medicine, psychiatry, or a related healthcare field.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatments for addiction and mental health disorders, including MAT and psychiatric medications.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Travel nursing

Pay: $140,354.00 – $200,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
