Travel Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner – Neuro ICU

*Likely start work in January after holidays*

Travel Rate: $5,500+ per week

Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate NP/PA to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, perform assessments, and develop treatment plans for patients across various settings. This role involves collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, particularly focusing on senior care and pain management. The NP/PA will also engage in discharge planning and may participate in research initiatives to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Provide direct patient care in various settings, including specialized units such as neuro ICU.
  • Perform discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients leaving the facility.
  • Utilize aseptic technique during procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
  • Document patient information accurately, including medical coding when necessary.
  • Engage in ongoing education and research to stay current with best practices in patient care.

Requirements

  • Accepting out of state travelers if applied for NY license.
  • Strong skills in patient care, including experience with vital signs monitoring and discharge planning.
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques and senior care practices.
  • Knowledge of medical coding is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate care and improving patient health outcomes.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: From $5,500.00 per week
