Nurse Practitioner Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or a PA to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including inpatient care and outpatient clinics. This role involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of health issues, managing patient care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment. The Nurse Practitioner will also engage in clinical trials and contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and health histories.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including catheterization when necessary.
- Provide education and counseling to patients regarding health management, including addiction counseling.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with complex medical conditions.
- Participate in clinical trials to evaluate new treatments and therapies.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks.
- Stay updated on advancements in internal medicine and infectious disease care.
Skills
- Strong clinical skills in inpatient settings, with the ability to dialyze patients when required.
- Proficiency in managing patients with chronic illnesses, particularly in internal medicine.
- Experience with MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments for long-term care patients is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a cohesive healthcare team.
- Familiarity with clinical trial protocols and procedures is a plus.

Pay: $125,109.00 – $132,585.00 per year
