Job Title: Physician’s Assistant, PA-C

Overview: We are seeking a Physician’s Assistant to join our team at The Institute for Advanced Reconstruction (part of The Plastic Surgery Center). In this role, you will play a vital part in providing quality care to our patients, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes. Join a team that’s dedicated to helping people look and feel their best. You’ll be an integral part of a patient’s journey, providing support and care to those undergoing lymphedema treatment, facial reconstruction, breast reconstruction, and other transformative procedures. Witnessing the incredible results firsthand will be incredibly rewarding.

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Location: Northern New Jersey, travel required

Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons in the operating room with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.
  • Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative consultations
  • Complete hospital rounds
  • Complete in-office procedures and imaging
  • Develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families about surgical procedures and recovery.
  • Manage patient records and document medical progress.
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
  • Current New Jersey state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
  • DEA, CDS, BLS, ACLS and PALS are also required but can be obtained after hire.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of surgical procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
