Advanced Practice Provider/Physician Assistant – Occupational Medicine Injury Care Associates is looking for a PA to join our Denver team. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in Occupational Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Family Medicine, Orthopedics or Emergency Medicine.

This position will have work responsibilities primarily at our Denver clinic but may be required to cover over locations as needed.

Description

In coordination with clinic physicians, provides direct diagnostic and medical claim management services to workers’ compensation patients while coordinating treatment with internal and external specialists. At Injury Care Associates our medical providers pride themselves on the time they have available to educate patients, coordinate treatment and advocate for the care their patients receive.

Responsibilities

  • Identification of and diagnosis of work-related medical claims.
  • Prescribe and oversee treatment plans while coordinating care with internal physical therapists and external medical specialists.
  • Manage work-related medical claims and rehabilitation.
  • Physical exams including DOT, OSHA and routine work-related exams.

Work Environment

  • Outpatient.
  • Monday – Friday. No evenings. No Weekends.
  • Patient facing with medical decision making authority and administrative responsibilities as needed.
  • Limited call responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant training program.
  • Unrestricted license to practice in the State of Colorado.
  • Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice.
  • Level I Accreditation through the State of Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation will be required within 6 months of hire.
