Tufts Medical Center is currently seeking a full time Physician Assistant to join our outpatient General Internal Medicine team in Boston, MA.

Tufts Medical Center is the tertiary center for the Tufts Medicine Health System which also includes the MelroseWakefield Healthcare and Lowell General Hospital.
How you’ll transform patient care:

Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in the outpatient setting

Perform complete histories and physical exams to manage a broad range of both acute and chronic diseases

Order, interpret, and evaluate appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests

Develop appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings

Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures

Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation

Collaborate and consult with a multidisciplinary team of providers and other staff, including supervising physician, NPs, residents, as appropriate.

The role will consist of 20 clinical hours and 20 admin hours per week. In addition to 10 four hour Saturday clinical sessions a year that you receive an additional stipend for. No on-call required.
Who you are:
-
Graduate of an accredited and/or approved Physician Assistant program

Current license as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Prior PA experience preferred, new graduates with an interest in primary care considered

Current BLS certification required

A team player who is excited to work cooperatively with a wide range of stakeholders and disciplines to champion world class patient satisfaction and support
