OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in pain management and outpatient settings. This role involves working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality medical care to patients, including those in nursing homes. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for performing various clinical tasks, managing medical records, and assisting in esthetic laser treatments as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Manage pain management protocols for patients, ensuring effective relief and monitoring of outcomes.
  • Provide care in outpatient settings, including performing gastric lavage when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients, adhering to ICD-9 coding standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Assist in esthetic laser treatments under the supervision of qualified medical personnel.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance clinical skills.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and state licensure to practice medicine.
  • Experience in pain management and familiarity with outpatient care practices preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical records management and proficiency in ICD-9 coding.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
