Wilmington Mental Health is looking for a Full-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), Adult & Child Psychiatrist (MD/DO), or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide mental health services to patients at every point of the lifespan. You will work in an outpatient mental health setting and have the incredible opportunity to make a positive impact in an under-served community while experiencing work-life balance.

We handle as much of the administrative side of medicine as possible so that our clinicians are free to see patients and provide the best quality care.
Job Summary
Clinician will function as an integral member of the Wilmington Mental Health treatment team. Clinician must be certified and be waivered to prescribe Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and have experience prescribing MAT in the past. Clinician will demonstrate a team-player attitude and autonomy in providing the highest quality integrated care. Clinician will work in a 100% outpatient private practice offering schedule flexibility and autonomy to practice. This role will require that the clinician work with therapists to make Psychiatric assessments and evaluations of clients in an ongoing capacity. Prescribe medication in an effort to reduce mental health symptoms, as needed. Review and approve individualized service plans and assessments.
NP Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this position you must have the following:
· Master’s Degree or other Advanced Degree from an accredited nursing program (Required)
· Fully licensed or Board Certified mental health care provider in the state of North Carolina (Required)
· Malpractice insurance (we can help you get it if you don’t have it!)
· Current and active state license as a Nurse Practitioner in the state where the clinic is located. Current and active DEA license schedule II, III C with the ability to prescribe buprenorphine or willing to register to become a DATA 2000 provider.
· Applicant must have collaborative MD, if necessary
· Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work with faculty and other research staff Strong computer skills including working knowledge of web-based forms
· High degree of independence and initiative
· Detail oriented, adaptable, organized and demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and tasks.
· Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, and data management software
· Applicant must be proficient and comfortable with technology

· Applicant must be able to pass a federal background check
· Experience with therapy management is optional
· Two years of experience in the field of Substance Abuse.
· Experienced Preferred 1 year of EMR experience.
MD Candidate Requirements
· Graduate of an accredited school of medicine required.
· Licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina with DEA
· Board Certified or Board Eligible
· Medication Management required

PA Candidate Requirements
· Physician Assistant Degree
· License to practice as a physician assistant in North Carolina State
· Licensed by the NC Medical Board of Examiners and/or the NCBON and/or the ability to obtain your NC Medical License and/or your NCBON Licensure
· Physician Assistant Degree degree with some training in Psychiatry
· Applicant must be proficient and comfortable with technology
· Applicant must agree to accept Wilmington Mental Health’s Code of Ethics
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
§ Provide psychiatric assessment
§ Provide clinical diagnosis
§ Coordinate care with social work and counselors
§ Recommend treatment options and follow treatment outcomes
§ Active participation in case conferences and related team based meetings
§ Prescribe psychotropic medication as appropriate for patient care
§ Work with the clinical staff towards the integration of health with behavioral health
§ Partner with other staff toward best practice intervention planning
§ Recommend discharge and aftercare planning
§ Provide patient education on behavioral health issues and strategies for recovery
§ Clinically monitor vital signs, weight, I and O, fingerstick glucose, stools for occult blood, oxygen saturation levels, etc.
§ Perform procedures for which the clinician has been trained, educated, or has experience
§ Provide healthcare health services in accordance with Wilmington Mental Health site-specific protocols and consistent with the standard of care for the specialty of family medicine, and/or internal medicine as it pertains to outpatient care facility work.
§ Demonstrate high quality clinical experience treating patients with all adult psychopathologies
§ Participate in case reviews and meetings throughout the year
§ Collaborate with psychotherapists within the same company. All of your patients will have a psychotherapist available to them for up to weekly appointments.
§ Be part of a service team and aid in scheduling, charting, and other administrative duties.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions
Requires frequent sitting for long periods, operation of standard office machines and computers. May require lifting of up to 25 pounds.
Requires eye-hand coordination, normal vision range and manual dexterity. Requires the use of office equipment, such as computer terminals, telephones or copiers. Contact with all employees, patients, and other outside vendors.
