Our client in Bronx, NY is seeking a full-time physician assistant to join their growing orthopedic surgery team! Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of orthopedic experience, or experience working in another relevant surgical subspecialty (general, neurosurgery or trauma surgery). Physician is also willing to train a recent graduate with a strong desire to work in orthopedic surgery.
Responsibilities:
- Full-time position. 3 12-hour day shifts.
- Perform first-assist duties in the OR
- Rounding on hospital inpatients
- Patient histories, physical examinations, patient workups
- Management of post-operative patients
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a PA in orthopedic surgery
- Previous experience as a PA in another surgical field
- New graduate with ties to the area and applicable rotations
- Active New York Physician Assistant License, or ability to obtain
- DEA License
