At PRMA Plastic Surgery, we are a leading healthcare team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and cutting-edge breast reconstruction procedures, including DIEP flap, High-Definition DIEP flap, SIEA flap, GAP flap, TUG flap, PAP flap, LTP flap, fat grafting, direct-to-implant, nipple-sparing mastectomy, and lymphedema surgery. We also perform cosmetic procedures. This is not your ordinary job; it’s an opportunity to be part of a healthcare revolution.
Location: PRMA operates at multiple facilities. This position is a surgical, facility-based position. No clinic required.
Schedule: Are you tired of the traditional five-day work week? Do you crave a better work-life balance? Look no further! We have an exciting opportunity for you to enjoy the benefit of a 4-day workweek after completion of your 90-day introductory period, with voluntary weekday call and a rotating weekend call schedule. Basic hours are 7:00am-4:00pm but vary depending upon the surgery caseload and rounding schedule.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring the smooth flow of operations in the operative room. Duties include performing closures and microscope work.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical staff to provide exceptional patient care.
- Perform pre-operative assessments including patient history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
- Monitor patient’s vital signs and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies.
- Assist with post-operative care, including wound care, pain management, and patient education.
- Coordinate and facilitate the smooth and efficient discharge process for patients, ensuring a seamless transition from the healthcare facility to their homes or other care settings.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
On-site training provided by physicians and PAs. We would like to fill this position as soon as possible because it does require extensive training.

Qualifications
- Required: Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Required: Current certification and licensure as a Physician Assistant in Texas
- Required: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Required: Ability to work collaboratively and in a team environment
- Preferred: 2 years of surgical experience; however, we welcome new graduates as well!
- Preferred: Proficient suturing skills preferred
- Preferred: Proficient EMR/computer skills
- Preferred: Bilingual
