Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified PA/NP in Emergency Medicine to join our established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Practice Highlights:
  • 2-3 patients per day
  • One, 24 hour call shift per month
  • Physicians and PA/NP’s on every shift, no solo coverage

Responsibilities:

Summary:
Primary responsibility will be providing patient care to the patients of the Hybrid Emergency/Urgent Care Clinics.
Responsibilities:
  • Provides patient care to patients in the Hybrid Emergency Department with 14 universal beds.
  • Expected work scheduled: Varied shifts and hours; 1,680 hours/year is considered full time.
  • Projected volume is 100+ patients/day; 60% Urgent Care, 40% Emergency Care
  • Support staff: Nursing, EMTs, Scribes, Radiology, Lab services, Registration, Administrative
  • Maintains continuing education and ER requirements, i.e. ACLS, ATLS and PALS.
  • Maintains communication with hospital and medical staff.
  • Meets all documentation requirements to include transfer of patients to other facilities in full compliance with COBRA and EMTALA.
  • Performs other functions as required.
  • Participates in once Monthly Call Shift
Credentials Required
For Nurse Practitioner – Masters degree in Nursing, New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license, federal and state DEA license and ANCC certification required. Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required. Experience as an ER Nurse preferred.
For Physician Assistant – Baccalaureate prepared CAHEA Certified Physician Assistant or two (2) years working experience as a Certified Physician Assistant, and licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners required. Minimum of one year experience; Prior experience as an EMT or Scribe in an ER preferred.

At PRESNow 24/7 Urgent and Emergency Care in Albuquerque, our goal is to remove the financial concerns when deciding whether Urgent or Emergency Care is appropriate. We provide full-service, high-quality care and appropriate billing for the level of care you used. No appointments required, accepting walk-ins patients only. All facilities are fully equipped with on-site labs and imaging suite, including CT scan, X-ray, ultrasound, EKG and blood tests.
