Description:
In collaboration with supervising physicians, the PA directly manages the care of complex acutely ill patients with or without chronic diseases via face-to-face, telehealth, or other communication devices. An expert in patient care who can provide quality care, perform patient assessments, physical examinations, and medical history. The PA can order and interpret a variety of laboratory and diagnostic tests. The PA can diagnose, develop appropriate treatment plans, prescribe medical regimen, and educate patients/family regarding diagnosis and plan of care. The Delineation of Privileges helps structure the care and management that the PA provides for patients. The PA works collaboratively with physicians, staff, and administration to ensure quality of care across the health system. The PA can be a team leader during code rescue/blue. The PA integrates evidence-based practice and technological advances into their scope of practice. When available, the PA may participate in research initiatives, data collection, quality improvement, discharge planning, and coordination of patient care within the area of practice. The PA participates in and facilitates patient throughput, optimal patient outcomes, optimal length of stay and improved patient satisfaction. Estimated salary range for this position is $110425.08 – $143552.60 / year depending on experience.

Degrees:
- Masters.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Drug Enforcement Administration.
- NCCPA Certified Physician Assistant.
- Basic Life Support.
- Physician Assistant.
Additional Qualifications:
- Compliant with state of Florida requirements for CMEs and licensure.
- BLS required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support required as per specialty/function.
- DEA License required as per specialty/function.
- Obtain medical staff credentialing and privileges as needed for practice location.
