Physician Assistant – Surgical Services (casual/Internal Only)

Fairview Health Services is seeking a General Surgery Physician Assistant to join the General Surgery team in at Ridges Hospital on a casual basis. In this role, you will work independently in a supportive team setting at both M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN. You will be working closely with a well-established community General Surgery group and an experienced group of Advanced Practice Providers (APP), caring for patients with a diverse range of general, breast, surgical oncology, reflux, abdominal wall reconstruction, colon surgery and bariatric disorders.

Practice Details:

• Surgical patient care for a wide variety of conditions
• Inpatient care including: Admissions and consults, daily rounding, operative assist, and discharge planning and education
• Leadership within the multi-professional team caring for your patients and within the provider group
• Casual, on an as needed basis

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant training program
• BC/BE through the NCCPA
• Licensed or ability to obtain licensure through Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
• Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
• Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
• Ability to obtain ATLS within 6 months of hire
• 3 years experience in a Surgical practice as a PA is preferred
